The Bow Group and the Embassy of Israel in London invite you to a policy discussion with Dr. Dan Schueftan and Bob Blackman MP on 'The Future of Public Security in the Middle East.'

The event will take place on Thursday 24th November, 18:00pm - 20:00pm at The Macmillan Room, Portcullis House, Palace of Westminster.

With Islamic State still a potent military threat continuing to displace thousands of people in the region, an uncertain deal signed with Iran, and continued tensions with Hezbollah and Hamas, Israel faces challenges on all sides.

The event will discuss what these ongoing phenomena mean for the safety of the Israeli people and how to address the political situation and the UK's political role in a post-Brexit, post-Obama world.

Dr. Dan Schueftan is a senior Israeli academic and director of the National Security Studies Centre at the University of Haifa. He has previously taught at the Israeli Defence Forces National Security College and consulted the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Foreign and Defence Ministries.

Mr. Bob Blackman MP is a former member of the London Assembly and has represented Harrow East in Parliament since 2010. He is a member of the Conservative Friends of Israel, visting the country on various delegations, most notably during the Operation Defensive Shield conflict for an Israeli military briefing on the Iron Dome system.
