The Bow Group, Bruges Group & Senior Brexiteers call for following 'Red Lines' on any Brexit Deal - or the Government faces collapse

There shouldn’t be a transition period – NOW should be the transition period, Article 50 is irreversible." Sir Bill Cash MP

Leading Brexiteers insist that any Brexit deal should not stray beyond the below "red lines":
•0 divorce payment should be paid to the EU
•No transition period should exist beyond March 2019
•Article 50 is irreversible - Regardless of any deal we exit the EU on 29th March 2019
•No EU students in the UK should be given right to remain beyond their period of study
•EU citizens given right to remain only if the UK citizens in Europe offered the same
•Immigration Bill published in unison with Brexit deal with clear strategy to reduce immigration to the tens of thousands
•An End to ECJ jurisdiction
•No involvement of UK in EU army
•End to free movement
•Britain leaving single market & customs union
•House of Lords to be overridden if Brexit bill blocked

Brexiteer MPs are likely to block any Brexit deal that doesn't comply with above red lines resulting in a no deal Brexit in 2019.

There are considered to be approximately 130 Brexit supporting Conservative MPs

"I regularly speak to a large number of Brexiteer MPs and whilst we have heard little other than the red lines of the 11 remain supporting rebels, the difference between what Brexiteers Mps will accept and the deal the Government is building is apparent and stark.

What these Mps have told the Bow Group is that their red lines are very clear and they will not support a government that does not deliver on them. They are far greater in number than the remain rebels and many of them have spent 30 or 40 years campaigning for Brexit- they aren't going to give up now.

Whilst technically Theresa May has enough support in Parliament as a whole to pass a soft Brexit - 130 Conservative Mps being opposed to it will topple the government immediately preventing such a bill from being passed. The alternative is not remaining in the EU, Bow Group Patron John Redwood' s work means the final date of the Brexit Bill is set as March 29th 2019 - if we don't have a deal by then we automatically leave.

I therefore encourage the Government to take careful account of these red lines before any deal is settled."
Cllr Benjamin Harris-Quinney, Bow Group Chairman

There shouldn’t be a transition period – NOW should be the transition period, Article 50 is irreversible."

My Red Line is a sovereign Parliament nothing less... and that means no jurisdiction of the ECJ over British Courts."
Sir Bill Cash MP

" The decision to leave the EU was delegated from Parliament to the People.
This government is not delivering the Brexit the British people voted for"
Peter Bone MP

"whilst the House of Lords has a Remain majority, they would do well to remember their unelected nature and the potential backlash to their shunning of a majority decision taken by the public. Parliament must act on the will of the people not the Lords"
Philip Davies MP

'The principle of these red lines is that any trade deal between Britain and the remainder of the EU should not mean the UK has to conform to Brussels' rules. We must be allowed to make our own laws.'
