Appearing on the BBC Daily Politics Show, Director of the Conserve the Chilterns Countryside Campaign Stephanie Boston has made the case for the Government to scrap the current plans for HS2 and adopt the "Bow Group Route".

The campaign has claimed the government has not actively considered any other options for the route, which are better and cheaper, and had backing from unions, thinks tanks, members of the public and business leaders.

Boston debated the plans with Conservative MP Sajid Javid and Labour's Liam Byrne MP and promoted the Bow Group's plan that the HS2 rail line should be routed via Heathrow Airport with links to Stratford in east London and on to Europe.
