The Bow Group is humbled to announce The Barnabas Fund as our sponsor to help highlight the persecution of Christians in the Middle East during our panel discussion

The main ministry of Barnabas Fund is to send financial support to projects which help Christians where they suffer discrimination, oppression and persecution as a consequence of their faith. The projects aim to strengthen Christian individuals, churches and their communities by providing material and spiritual support in response to needs identified by local Christian leaders.

With the Bow Group’s first event of 2017 now under a week away, we only have our final few tickets remaining and urge you to register this weekend

The Bow Group invites you to our panel discussion and dinner on Foreign Intervention in Syria as the first event of our 2017 programme.

This highly salient and emotive issue will query what the future of the geopolitical situation might be; how Britain can address this issue in a post-Brexit foreign policy framework; the persecution of Christians in the region; and what is the role of international aid to help those severely affected by the Syrian Civil War.

We are honoured to announce our guest speakers are The Rt Hon. Andrew Mitchell MP, Mr. Daniel Kawcyznski MP and Mr. Graham Evans MP. More high-profile figures will soon be revealed.

The event will take place Wednesday 25th January, 19:00pm – 23:00pm at the Trafalgar Room, Victory Services Club, 63-79 Seymour Street, Mayfair, London W2 2HF. The dress code is lounge suit and a cash bar will be available after the panel discussion and throughout dinner.

The Rt Hon. Andrew Mitchell MP has represented Sutton Coldfield since 2001 and was previously Member of Parliament for Gedling from 1987 – 1997. He was Secretary of State for International Development, where he has exerted a phenomenal influence on the disciplines of international aid and development. Andrew previously served as a Second Lieutenant with the Royal Tank Regiment, notably spending time as a United Nations military peacekeeper in Cyprus.

Mr. Daniel Kawczynski MP is Member of Parliament for Shrewsbury and Atcham, which he has represented since 2005. Daniel is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and regularly visits the Ukraine-Russia border to monitor defence and security issues in this capacity.

Mr. Graham Evans MP is Member of Parliament for Weaver Vale, where he was first elected in 2010. Graham is Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Defence, and has a strong record of supporting Britain’s military, having served as Co-Secretary of the APPG for the Armed Forces and is a member of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme.

The meat dinner option will consist of Smoked Duck Roulade, Smooth Duck Parfait and Apricot Coulis starter; Rare Roast Sirloin of English Beef with Ox Cheek Yorkshire Pudding, Dauphinoise Potatoes, and Honey Glazed Root Vegetables with Tawny Port Sauce (medium rare) main; Lemon Meringue Pie, Citrus Biscuit, Lemon Curd and Hazelnut Meringue dessert.

The vegetarian dinner option will consist of Mushroom & Truffle Pate with Artisan Croutes starter; Puff Pastry Case of Wild Mushroom Fricasse & Spinach main; Lemon Meringue Pie, Citrus Biscuit, Lemon Curd and Hazelnut Meringue dessert.

Both menu choices include half a bottle of house wine, with teas and coffees served following dinner.
