Bow Group Chairman Ben Harris-Quinney has said that the UK needs to develop a crisis asylum policy as the number of people fleeing Ukraine could number in the millions.
Speaking to LBC radio, Ben Harris-Quinney said: “I think we need to work out our own system and there needs to be some checks.”
“There’s a good chance the crisis could worsen, that casualties could rise significantly, and this is going to become a major, major, humanitarian crisis involving the high hundreds of thousands or possibly millions of people.
“Due to the position of Ukraine, I think we also need some system in cooperation with other European nations around Ukraine to provide a pathway.”
