PartyGate: Carrie Johnson Was Having Parties While the Country Suffered Under Lockdown

Dec 13, 2021 | Broadcast Media, News | 0 comments

Bow Group Research Fellow Benjamin Loughnane has said that Number 10 is like an old imperial court “but with none of the authenticity or authority”, after reports claimed the prime minister’s wife had thrown a party to celebrate the departure of her adversary from Downing Street, while the rest of the country was suffering under lockdown restrictions.

Reports have circulated in the media that Boris Johnson’s wife Carrie had thrown a party in the prime minister’s flat in Number 10 last year to celebrate the departure of Johnson’s advisor, Dominic Cummings.

Responding to the claims, Bow Group Research Fellow Benjamin Loughnane told talkRADIO’s Kevin O’Sullivan: “It is like a great, old imperial court, but with none of the glamour, authenticity, or authority.

“There are people languishing and suffering. Even the Queen was alone at Prince Phillip’s funeral last year, and they were having these debauched parties over things like getting rid of the prime minister’s advisor who Carrie just didn’t like.”

He added: “When you look at it in those terms, it really does mount up to a really quite horrific scenario, where you’ve got this hypocrisy and debauchery together and I think Carrie is the core of all this. I think she will be the undoing of Boris.”
