There’s a Major Problem in No 10 with the Culture and Something Needs to Be Done About It, Says Harris-Quinney

Jan 26, 2022 | Broadcast Media, News | 0 comments

Bow Group Chairman Ben Harris-Quinney has said that Prime Minister Boris Johnson and others around him need to reflect on their positions, after the Metropolitan Police Service announced it would be investigating reports of parties held in Downing Street in apparent breach of coronavirus lockdown rules.

Speaking to talkRADIO, Mr Harris-Quiney said: “There’s a major problem in Number 10 with the culture and something needs to be done about it. I don’t think what has been going on can be defended.

“I know the government has some outriders out there trying to make sense of it and trying to spin it to the public, but I think it would be better if they just apologised, quite frankly, at this point.”

“What he should have done was apologise from the outset,” Mr Harris-Quinney continued, adding: “I think now the coverup and the stupid excuses is almost half of the problem. I think Boris Johnson needs to reflect on his own position very seriously, and I think a number of people around him need to as well.

“I think Carrie Johnson needs to be moved out of Downing Street at a minimum to somewhere like Chequers.

“But we have stopped short of calling for the prime minister to be challenged in his leadership, because I think at the moment in the Conservative Party, it’s quite an undemocratic process.”
